Changing Habits
We all have habits we'd like to kick to the curb—and honestly, I've got a few myself. Right now, I'm on a mission to swap out the ones that don't serve me for ones that actually do. Let me tell you, it's a journey.
Take eating, for example. I used to be that person—the one who cooked every single meal at home and would literally bring my own food to restaurants. Yeah, I know. It wasn't exactly a recipe for a thriving social life, and looking back, it was more about control than health. Fast forward to today, and I'm eating out way more than I ever have before. The difference? I'm still making smarter choices, but I've learned to enjoy the process instead of white-knuckling my way through it.
Here's the thing nobody tells you: the food you make at home is genuinely better—and way more affordable—than most restaurant meals. But there's a sweet spot in the middle, and that's where I'm learning to live. It's not about perfection; it's about finding your rhythm.
Just today, I crushed a solid posterior chain workout with some serious volume, and you know what? I decided I'd earned a little celebration. So I grabbed a burger and some absolutely incredible sweet potato fries. Were they worth it? Absolutely. And I enjoyed every bite without the guilt.
Here's what I've learned: changing habits isn't about being 100 percent perfect all the time. We're human. It's about showing up consistently and then actually enjoying the moments when you treat yourself. The real magic happens when you replace a habit that doesn't serve you with one that does—and then you stick with it long enough to see the difference.
So what habit are you ready to change?
